“Journey to the new homeland” Educational and entertainment workshops for children at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle!

We welcome the autumn with the Museum’s hands-on workshops for children aged 5-12, which will take place in the Museum’s premises before the start of the school year. The workshops are implemented by the Museum’s interdisciplinary team and aim tofoster the historical culture and cultural development of children through educational activities for entertainment and learning. The central theme of the workshops is the concept of homeland, as it is formed through the children’s relationship with the place, language, family, public art, people’s actions and their daily habits.
- To be entertained through the discovery of the Museum and history with audiovisual projections and experiential walks in the centre of Thessaloniki
- Develop skills in emotional intelligence, creative expression and digital applications
- Experiment with original painting techniques and materials inspired by the artworks of the Museum’s temporary exhibition “Monumental Places. From Pontus and Asia Minor to Macedonia”
- Make new friends and present their own original works!
The Scientific Team of the Laboratories:

HOURS: 9:00 – 14:00
Due to the limited number of seats, there will be a strict first come, first served policy.
As with previous workshops, the Museum provides breakfast for the children and all construction materials.
Participation fee for the week: 50 euros/child
Participation fee for siblings: 45 euros/child
