Preamble
This website is owned by the foundation under the name “Foundation of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle and Modern History of Macedonia” (Idryma Mouseiou Makedonikou Agona kai tis Neoteris Istorias tis Makedonias), with registered office in Thessaloniki, on 23 Proxenou Koromila St., email: info@imma.edu.gr, hereinafter referred to as “IMMA” for the sake of brevity; its purpose is to serve its users-customers, to inform them on the products on offer, as well as to sell products for a fee using a remote ordering system, subject to stock availability.
Intellectual Property Rights
The website contains material owned by IMMA, such as trademarks, trade names, distinctive features, industrial designs and utility models, as well as other content (“material” and/or “content”) protected by the Law 2121/1993 and the applicable national and EU legislation on Intellectual Property protection. The website’s content (including texts, graphics, images, photos, source code, software, audio and/or image files, audiovisual works, applications, data etc.) constitutes the intellectual and industrial property of IMMA and it is protected by the applicable Legislation.
It is prohibited, among other things, in whole or in part, to republish and in general to reproduce and relay the website’s content or part of it, and to store in a database, relay in electronic or mechanical or any other format, in the original or in translation, or to otherwise adapt and modify the website’s form, content and appearance.
The duplication, analogue/digital recording and mechanical reproduction, distribution, transfer, uploading, alteration, resale, creation of derivative works or misleading the public about the real provider of the website’s Content are also prohibited. Any reproduction, republishing, uploading, disclosure, dissemination or transmission or any other use of the Content in any way or by any means for commercial or other purposes shall be permitted only upon the prior written consent of IMMA or any other rightful holder of the above intellectual property rights. The names, images, logos and distinctive features that represent the IMMA and/or its e-shop and/or contracted third parties, as well as their products or services, constitute exclusive trademarks and distinctive features of the IMMA and/or the aforementioned third parties, and they are protected by Greek, EU and international laws on trademarks and industrial and intellectual property.
Temporarily copying the content to a device simply for reading purposes is excluded. Moreover, IMMA grants to users an individual, non-exclusive, non-transferable llicense for private use of the software, freely revocable at any time, valid only for as long as it is necessary in order to use the Website in accordance with the present terms.
The display and exhibition of the material on the website at www.imma.edu.gr and IMMA’s e-shop should in no way be construed as a transfer or granting of any license or right to use such material.
Any illegal use of the website or infringement of IMMA’s rights by the user shall give rise to an obligation to compensate IMMA for any material damages (damnum emergens and lucrum cessans) incurred thereby and incurs civil and criminal penalties.
Privacy Notice
The user consents to the processing of his personal data for the legal use of the digital material of this website and the protection of Intellectual Property rights of IMMA. IMMA undertakes to make all possible efforts in order to protect the processing of the users’ personal data against any loss or leakage, alteration, transfer or any other unlawful processing.
Data Collection
The website is designed in such a way so as not to reveal the identity of users unless they wish to do so, requesting their personal data only in order to sign up for the website, to order products or to contact the IMMA electronically. The website collects the following user information: data provided by the user when registering as a customer/to execute an order/to subscribe to the newsletter/when logging in via another online platform (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest). This information may include: personal data (full name, address, telephone, email, etc.), account information (username and other identifiers or credentials used to access our online services), IP address, device information and cookies data.
Data Processing
Processing which requires consent
The registered user/customer must provide their explicit consent in order for IMMA to send commercial, informational and promotional messages, to promote its products and to provide information on new releases, discounts, etc.; it is possible to withdraw this consent unconditionally.
Any document stating the customer’s identity shall remain confidential, reviewed only by IMMA’s competent data processor, while the disclosure of personal data implies the customer’s consent to the use thereof by IMMA employees for the aforementioned purposes.
Data Subject Rights
As a data subject, any registered user-customer can exercise their rights at any time, as set out primarily in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR (EU) 679/2016). In summary, you have the following rights:
Right to information/Transparency: The right to know who is processing your data, which data is being processed and why. Any organizations that process your data must provide you with clear information in plain language.
Right of access: You have the right to request free access to your personal data held by an organization.
Right to rectification: You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data and the completion of incomplete data.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data under certain conditions, such as when the data is no longer necessary, you have withdrawn your consent, the data has been unlawfully processed, etc.
Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data when its accuracy is disputed, the processing is unlawful, the controller no longer needs your data, or you object to automated processing.
Right to data portability: You have the right to request the transfer of your data to another controller.
Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by an organization, provided that this does not adversely affect the public interest.
Right to human intervention: You have the right to object when a decision concerning you is based solely on automated processing, including profiling, and this decision produces legal effects or significantly affects you.
IMMA will satisfy the request of the user exercising any of the above rights within thirty (30) days from its submission, while simultaneously informing the user that it shall retain the personal data that is necessary as a minimum in order to safeguard its legal interests. In accordance with the GDPR 679/2016, any user considering their rights regarding the protection of their personal data are being violated, has the right to file a complaint to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, seated in Athens (1-3 Kifisias Av., P.C. 115 23), by telephone at 2106475600 or fax at 2106475628, or via email at complaints@dpa.gr.
Data Retention Period
IMMA shall retain and process the user’s/customer’s data until their relevant order has been fully executed, while the data of registered users/customers shall be retained until the latter requests the deletion of their account and, regarding any processing carried out with their consent, until they declare the withdrawal of such consent. Certain personal data concerning their transactional relations with IMMA, as well as the updating, granting and withdrawing of their consent, shall continue to be retained, in order to provide proof of the legality of the processing of their data by IMMA and to ensure the legal claims of the parties. Furthermore, personal data shall be retained for as long as this is required according to the tax legislation.
Cookies
This website uses cookies to collect information. Cookies are small data files stored on the user’s/customer’s devices (computer, smartphones, tablets) when browsing the website, allowing the website to function smoothly and without technical issues, to remember multiple choices made by the user, to recognize frequent users, to facilitate their access to the website and to collect data in order to improve the website’s content. They are also used to customize the products and services offered and advertised to the user, both on the website and on social media. In order to enable cookies, relevant consent must be provided.
Changes to the Website’s Content
IMMA reserves the right to expand, update and improve its website and the related products and services, to update and amend – at its sole discretion – the present policy, as well as the terms and conditions of transactions, by and with the relevant amendment of the present terms, without providing prior individual notification to the users.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Any dispute related to the website shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thessaloniki and it shall be governed by the Greek law.
